Does it matter if one of the 2 sets of rca's is 3 feet longer?  My buddy gave me two monster cable RCA's and I didnt realize until I layed them out together tonight that one is 3 feet longer than the other one...also they each have a small arrow > on them...I taped them together with electrical tape to keep the install clean and then I realized that one set had the arrow going one way and the other set the other way...should they not be universal...I don't see how they would be one direction only.

No. The speed of an electrical impulse in copper is .95 the speed of light. How long would it take for light to travel 3 feet? Divide that time by .95, and that is how much time difference there is between the two signal paths.

If you don't know the speed of light, it is 300 million meters per second.

...and no, AFAIAC, RCA cables are bi-directional.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

If he uses the long one on the front channels, wouldn't that be a form of analog time alignment?      That was just a joke.  Do not use the long one on the front expecting better sound.

Especially if he has the cable current direction reversed because then the little electrons would have to run all the way from one end to the other backwards.  That would *REALLY* delay them and would probably be responsible for the system sounding like ass.

well if you took a set of RCA's that were about 5000 miles long and wrapped them around the outside of the car, you'll get a small amount of electrical inductance that would cause a phase field disturbance that can levitate your vehicle while delaying the rear signal to give you a rear ambient effect like dolby surround.

actually I pulled all the out of my @#$.  Monster Cable are the KINGS of propaganda in the world of signal wire.  Ignore the arrows, ignore their retarded claims of superior cable technology and save your time and money.
