Since I toasted my other subwoofers, I have decided to upgrade to some new ones.

What I have now:
99 grand am se, fully loaded
1.0cu ft sealed box for 2 12in subs
4ga kicker hyperflex wiring
2.0farad power acoustik capaciter
Kenwood 2ch amp KAC-7201
max 800w x 1
150w x 2 @4ohm
230w x 2 @2ohm

I am looking for reasonable priced subwoofers that will give the best bang for the buck. Music dhoice is not important, as I listen to pretty much everything.

best bang for the buck...ditch that sealed enclosure and get a decent 12 in an efficient ported enclosure.

I'd take a single 12 ported over two sealed any day. Designed right it would have more output too

If you are after two new subs, look to a pair of dvc 4 ohm versions. Pioneer Premiere make some respectable inexpensive subs here. Definitely change the box. It will make or break the output of the new subs. If space is a concern, a svc 4 ohm sub in a ported box is the way to go. Ported boxes generally take up more space, so if you do not have room for two subs and the box, then one sub and the box is ideal. Digital Designs makes some stellar subs to consider if you are looking for lots of bass. www.ddaudio.com

Here is a huge problem..... as Rob has stated. Fix this no matter what you do.

Also, consider dumping the cap. Get a GOOD audio battery, upgrade the giant 3 and call it a day.
