I have a 2001 Chevy Venture with a RDS Radio and I just noticed after I jumped my van, that the radio reads: "ERROR".  I took it to the dealer and they were a bunch of morons and kept trying to get the codes from it.  I kept telling them that these radios learn part of the VIN and do not operate like normal theftlock radios used to.  I tried to put a CD/Cass unit in this car awhile back and it read "LOCKED", so I know this is different

They kept telling me that if I unplug this radio it will lock up.  I told them I unplugged it for more than an hour when I was trying to install the CD/CASS one I got from EBAY and when I plugged this one back in it worked fine.  This is what I dont get: On Saturday the battery was really dead, no clicking of the starter and barely any juice from the dash lights, and the radio worked fine.  Now this morning the battery still had some juice and the clock did not even lose a minute of time, but the radio doesnt work now. WTF

Anyway to reset these?

I am familiar with these radios and have never seen an error message, but doubt that it looked up once it learnt the car already. I would make sure that you didn't somehow loose power on a different wire.
