I have a 86 deville and when I first put in my system I had all my connections on the side post but when my battery died I got a bigger battety but the new one has dual post. Someone told me that I should rerun my amp and big3 on the top post on the battery and put the cars stock on the side is there an advanatage to putting the big3/amp wire on the top of the battery

The only advantage would be that your battery post would be less crowded. In my new car I put in an Optima Blue Top that has dual posts and ran my alarm wiring to the second terminal. Once I get the stereo installed I will probably also use the same posts for it.
