Well like I said its a 2008 Eclipse Spyder with the oem Rockford system and I am going to change out that 9.75" sub thats in the middle of the back seat. First off, I have looked and searched and have not found another 9.75" sub available. Soo would I need to go with a 10" and shave the metal brace that it is sitting in? Or is there a sub that would just fit in that slot? Three things to keep in mind, its not a deep area that its going in soo I need to keep sub dept to a minimum, also there is no true enclosure for it soo it will not be in a sealed box per say, and the amp that is to be used with the sub is a Hifoncs Brutus amp I believe thats 2000w rms at 1ohm I think. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated

1: You won't find a decent sub in that size, aftermarket.
2: A 10" driver will require some fab.
3: Finding a shallow, good 10" driver will be like finding hen's teeth.
4: Finding a shallow, good, FREE-AIR, 10" driver will be an even MORE rare animal.
Looks to me like you are in for some serious fabrication, and frame/chassis mods! An enclosure will be pretty much mandatory.
(And the phrase is per se. Just constructive...)
------------- It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
