I've been searching everywhere for this info but can't find anything.
I want to use a car for promotions, I have a normal AC PA system:
 - QSC RMX 1450 Power Amplifier
 - EV Eliminator Doubles

I've been able to acomplish this by using a Gasoline Power Generator, but was wondering if it's possible to do it with a Power Inverter..

The QSC documentation says it draws 6amps, that's about 720watts and I've found a good deal on a 2500watts inverter.

 Any comments on this??

Thanks for the help.. I've been a member for a long time but never had to actually write, I always found the info I was looking for.

Inverters are very inefficient and unless you get a Sinewave output, noise will be an issue with audio gear. Some Quasi Sine might work. The cost difference between the two is substantial. Power wise, the ratio is roughly 10:1. 10 amps DC for every 1 amp output of AC. Be prepare with plenty of battery storage and a good regulated charger.

 Thanks for the fast response..
Asuming I get a 1000 - 2000watts Pure Sine inverter... can it be ran from the stock car battery/alternator? Or am I asking for too much?

Note that I'll have the engine running while using it.

Guess I'll just install a cargo carrier on my hitch and put the power plant there.
