I got the Pioneer Premier version 800bt but its the same thing as the 8000 anyway my question is, I have an evny phone from verizon and I want to get the Head unit to download my phone book and it wont. Everytime I try the phone disconnects from the head unit then after 30 seconds or so it hooks back up then the radio just says error. Does anyone have any idea what to do? Pioneer is no help, when I first got the radio I was having trouble pairing them and instead of helping me at all the guy just said that not all phones are compattable, and I was like well can you try and help me and he just said no your phone probably doesnt work with the radio so I just got mad and gave up then a few days later I figured it out and it worked fine other than the phonebook part, so any help would be great. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum but I looked throught the Bluetooth forum and no one seems to pay it any attention.

Thanks in advance

Verizon and Sprint phones have compatibility issues with Pioneer and Eclipse radios.  Most of the time it won't recognize the bt phone at all.  Other times as soon as you link up, then it will either drop the connection or read error codes.

The weird thing is that it's not a phone issue, its the carrier.  That doesn't make sense to me, but I just had a customer come in with a verizon LG phone, I forget which model, and it wouldn't link up.  About an hour later one of our good customers came in and he had the same phone but under Cellular One.  It linked up right away and had no issues with our floor model Pioneer and Eclipse radios.

I dont know if it will help you and your customers are not but I think what I finally did that worked with my LG Envy to get it linked was I got the radio to start looking for the connection while on the phone I clicked make visible and I think it will only do it for about 1 minute. When it does that there is two arrows next to the bluetooth symbol, and then the radio should recognize it, atleast thats what I recalled happening now I just want the phone book to work but I guess I cant be to upset atleast my phone pairs to it.
