Better than a lot of stuff out there, but not what they used to be... If you can get good prices, I say go for it!

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

If you can get it cheaper than you can online (or just as cheap with a warranty) I'd say buy that ish.

We are a Diamond Audio dealer and they have some of the best sounding speakers of all the brands we carry IMO. The top end is really smooth, they have incredible midbass response, and produce good solid imaging. The D6's are better than the Hexes in midbass response, but the Hexes are a little better in the top end. The D9's (now Hex Pro's) are incredible all around (as they should be for $1.8k). I run one of their amps in my car and am happy with it.

If you can, take a listen to the speakers first to be sure you are happy with the way they sound.
