Subject: do i have enough channels on my amp?

Before I start, I'm pretty inexperienced with car audio.

I'm about to install Alpine's SPR-13S 5.25 component speakers (8-100 watt rms). I'm looking to power them with Alpine's PDX-2.150 amp. Is 2 channels enough to power all 8 speakers (4 tweeters + 4 speakers). And would I be able to have it set to 75 watts per pair of speakers?

Also, I just purchased 2 Alpine SWR-1042D subs. Will I be able to hook both of them up to Alpines PDX-1.600 amp even though it's 1 channel and there's 2 subs?

Any advice is appreciated.
Jared

This will be fine.

Wire both of the left speaker sets (both left side tweeters and both left side woofers -using the supplied passive crossovers -left front set to one crossover, left rear to it's own crossover) to the left output channel on the 2.150. Wire both right side speakers (both tweeters, both woofers, using supplied crossovers) to the right output channel. This will load the amp @ 2ohm stereo. Each speaker set (1 tweeter, 1 woofer) will recieve about 75watts.

Wire the subs to the 1.600 like this: posted_image
Each sub will recieve about 300watts.

I may not have described it as well as I could have, but it's getting late -for me at least.

Good luck with your nice setup!

Going out on a limb here....are the speakers going to be front and rear? If so, then the amp you list above is not the ideal amp for this task. Look to a 4 channel amplifier to power the front and rear speakers separately. 50w rms x 4 is lots of power to match up with the sub amp, however, if you want more power, you can't really go too far wrong (unless it is to overpower them on a regular basis).
