Hi,
I want to install an aftermarket receiver. I picked out a Clarion DUZ385SAT from Crutchfield. Should fill out the dash and the specs seem good enough. They say I need the PAC Chrysler Radio Replacement Interface C2R-CHY2. From what I read it's for "Reverse signal, park light signal, Vehicle speed signal and Parking brake outputs" Seems like that is for a DVD deck to prevent watching while you're driving. Do I really need this adapter? Can I just tap in somewhere for the accessory wire and run yellow straight to battery? Thanks for and help and advice.
Also if anyone has a wiring diagram for the radio harness on the 08 Wrangler, that would be great too.

If your trying to bypass the safety feature, this thread will probably be stopped.

But if you're trying to just save some $ and do it by yourself, thats cool.  Personally i'd buy the "adapter".  They seem to make things a lot easier

Sorry no diagram.  Doesn't Crutchfield send that super handy MasterSheet?
