I have 2 12' MB Quarts the RWE subwoofer model. The manual called for a sealed box.. Can I still put these subs in a ported box since I listen mostly to rap music/rnb and some pop music.
I did hear these subs in a 3.0 cubic feet ported box in a small ford car before and they sounded good..
my car is a 99 monte carlo

Check with Quart. ANY woofer can be put into a sealed or vented enclosure, it just depends on whether you end up with the desired results, with the efficiency/space tradeoffs.
If they recommend sealed, I'd stick with sealed.
------------- It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
