At a 1 ohm rating this amp says it will put out 2600 Watts RMS. i'm just wondering if thats true. Either way if someone could tell me what this amps true power rating is at 1 ohm and 2 ohm. Thank you

Hifonics over rates their amps rms power. Mine claims 2200 watts at 1 ohm, but it's less than that. I knew that before I bought it, but for what it cost me, I'm satisfied with it. I'm not sure what the "real" rms power is on mine or the one you are asking about. Maybe someone else can give you a better answer on that.

A rule of thumb for me is half the stated rms power............

I always thought you halfed the stated max output as the rms if they do not state it

Hifonics does state their amps rms, but I've found that they along with some other brands over rate this spec. Just because they say its 2000 watts rms doesn't guarantee that it will do it.
