Hi Guys,

I am building a system for my dad's F350.   He wants two JL8w1v2.   The question is, should we order the 4 ohm or 8 ohm version.  We are planning on running the speakers in parrarell to a kicker zx300.1.   The amp is spec'd for 300w @ 2ohm , 150w @ 4 ohm.   The speakers are rated for 150w each, and the overall resistence will be 4ohms if we buy the 8ohm speakers and run them in parrell.      Just want to confirm that we want the 8ohm subs and not the 4ohm versions.  I appreciate your help.

You want the 4ohm, so when you wire them up in parallel they become a 2 ohm load, perfect for that amp.
