Ok, I have (2) dual voice coil kenwood subwoofers that have impendance of 4 ohms. I curently have both subs ran in parallel, and then phased wired from the box to the amp. ( 2 channel) here is the stats of my amp as followed:

  • 170 Watts RMS X 2 At 4 Ohms (250 Watts X 2 At 2 Ohms)
  • 500 Watts RMS X 1 Bridged Output At 4 Ohms
  • Can someone tell me the best way to wire these that will make it pound lol

"Best setup with two Kenwood subs", huh? That's like asking what's the best way to eat a handful of poo. Kidding.

Wire the woofers in series, for 8 ohms, then wire them in parallel to the bridged amplifier. This will provide you with the 500 watts the amp is rated for, and 250 watts per woofer, which I think is what you already have... I don't understand "phased wired", but you said (2 channel), so I am assuming that you don't have it bridged presently.

Since you didn't provide any model numbers, I can only assume that you have already checked that the amp is respectable, and can actually DO 500 watts, bridged into 4 ohms, AND that the woofers are actually capable of handling 250 watts RMS, each.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

yea phased wiring as in the positive go to the positive negative to negative from box to amp (2 sets of wires in two channels) not bridges, and the model numbers are as follows

    amp - kac-7203

    subs(2)- kfcw3514dvc
