Hey guys I have an old Pioneer DEH-P9200R that the display doesn't light up  If you look real close you can see the display is working it's just not backlit to show up bright.  I poped the faceplate apart to see if there were any loose conectors or wires but didn't see anything.  Is there a home fix for this or is is done?

Thanks

272-1092 is the part number for 12 volt micro lamps available from RadioShack.  There are 5 lamps in that unit.  3 under the display that illuminate the display.  There is one on each end of the circuit board.  Take the face back apart, unsolder the lamps and see if they are blown.  They are mounted inside the little blue socks.

Check your radio to make sure it has the bulbs before you buy them.  1.79 for a pack of 2.

I took the display off the mail ciruit board but I can't see you to remove the display from it's circuit board.  The tinted film area's is where it's held down but it looks like circuits run through that film and I can't just rip it off.  Any ideas?posted_image

If it is the board I am thinking of, you do not have to remove the display. When I said below the display, I was saying closer to the bottom of the circuit board. Do not attempt to remove the display.

Just put the face flat on the bench, with the buttons down. Now look below the display, there should be 3 light bulbs in little blue socks that go through the circuit board.
