And both of those are big shiny turds, anyway.

What is your ultimate goal? SPL or SQ? I'm betting money on SPL, if those are the products you are asking after...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

the question shouldn't be wich sub is better you should ask wich sub is best for this application. but if you are asking wich sub is more efficent than it looks like the kicker is more efficent and it is more redily avalable and if you live near an electronic express you can get the kicker buy one get one free.

well my sealed enclosure is 0.6cu.ft. which is exactly what the DB drive, the kicker needs 0.8cu.ft. atleast but i think think insulation could be used to compensate. And i have an Alpine MRP-650 whic runs 600rms at 2ohms, so it matches either sub. what is total q-factor and Equivalent Volume? And has anyody heard DB drives before?

139.6db,..... but only if the windows are down half way.

for a 10 they hit pretty good, it looks like the kicker might have a little more cone area than the DB drive
