bass too much for my pioneer 400ub?

ok so i bought a pioneer 400ub and works great except when it is turned up to about 35 and the bass is on it skips. on the FM i can go to volume 47 and it works fine but something with the cd part makes it skip. my question is it a setting or is it just too much for that radio? and if it is too much what radio in the 200 price range doesnt skip like that. thanks!

ok i agrree thats a great radio buts a tad bit outta my range. situation is ill get back around 197 store credit from cartoys and since theyve me store credit since theres nothing "wrong" with it then i have to buy one there. any chance someone could be nice enough to go on there website and tell me which radio for 200 or under would be good and wont skip. i have no idea of which ones have better skip protect. thanks alot.

is that skip protection more than like 4 or 5 seconds? i think thats what my pioneer 400ub is? they swapped out my radio today for another one of the same model but it still does that.

I don't know that it has any skip protection. I just know that the Alpine units do not skip as easy as the other units do.

oh ok i may switch them out sometime then. thanks alot. i asked them how mucha wall would cost for craps and giggles and they said 1000 bucks!!! can you believe that!!! i would build it but i cnt be that precise with all the angles and cuts. if i could get the face built then i could easily build the supports and holes. lol
