I have a wedge  shaped 12" sub enclosure.  The replacement sub I'm considering has a recommended cubic feet of 1.25 to 3.5 but the enclosure I have is .881 cubic feet.

How big of an effect will that have on the performance?

Background on the install: I have a 04 Pontiac GTP with the monsoon system and I just want to add a little bottom end and not gut the whole system because of the controls and HUD display crap. I'll be selling the car after a year or two so I'm not going to dedicate the time to put a full system in like my previous car. So I decided just to add a sub using my old splash 800watt amp and the box from a 12 a blew.

The sub:

Any advice?

I'd choose a subwoofer that is ideal for a small sealed enclosure.

Ok I think I'll keep looking. I've installed a few systems in my cars but I realize now there was a lot I missed.  I appriciate the response.
