i had lend a friend my custom fiberglass box for 12 in subs, while i saved up to get mine. well he got him some new subs and took my box out of his ride and asked him if i could use his subs til i get my new ones. My amp worked good, its a 800W RMS audiobahn mono channel amp. after i installed the box back into my car, i noticed the lights in car getting dim which never happened with recent subs. And then Pop, the 2-30A fuses went out. i was like man, and another thing was i noticed they were hittin harder. after the fuses blew out i checked all the wiring. Since i got a mono amp the subs were hooked up to 1 ohm going by the wiring diagram, instead of 2 or 4 ohm like the amp could handle.
Since the amp and subs still turn on, im assuming will still work once i rewire the subs to 4 ohm. i just noticed that one sub is 2ohm and the other at 4ohm. Will i still wire them up under the 4ohm dual coil sub diagram since they are 2 different ohm subs, or will i have to do each sub a different way?
according to the diagram i would have to do the 2ohm sub at 4ohms, and the 4ohm at 8ohms. Would there be any failure or blown fuses if the 2ohm sub is wired to be 4ohms, and the 4 ohm sub wired at 2? or does the 4ohm sub have to be wired at 8ohms?

ya boi beaver
if you do that i think you would be looking at a 1.5 ohm or a 6 ohm total load to the amp. i dont think 1.5 would do you much better than what you have right now and 6 wouldn't give you much power at all

From what I am reading, the dual 2 ohm sub wired to 4 ohms, and the dual 4 wired to 8 ohms. That would be a 2.66 ohm load if wired in parallel.
