Hello...I have a MA audio 8 inch dvc sub and upon installing and testing i noticed it wasnt working correctly....The sub was wired in parrellel and in series but there is no sound.  I have checked all wiring and everything is ok. One more thing I did was individually test each coil and the sub worked when only one of the coils was hooked up, and it also didnt matter which coil was tested individually.  This is the part which I found very weird. BOTH coils work individually but not when wired together.

Any Ideas or Help would be a great.

Did you wire it as per the following diagrams?    It sounds like you have the coils wired out of phase.

Option 1 (parallel) = 2 ohm load
Voice coils wired in parallel
Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 2 or 1 ohm mono

Option 2 (series) = 8 ohm load
Voice coils wired in series
Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 4, 2, or 1 ohm mono

I know that I wired it right...im not a novice at...im pretty sure there is a resistance issue that is causing it....Ive ran the wires in every single possible configuration.

Use a battery and see if the woofer pops with both coils connected.  Maybe the novice manufacturing staff over at Audiobahn mislabeled one set of the terminals.
