I could do with a bit of help with a sub box build im new to this so be gentle with me
im building a sub box for 2 mutant mt1205 subs 12" the box is aprox 24"x20"x14" and want to build it with 3 chambers with the 2 subs facing each other at 45deg in centre chamber with a perspex front with 4 3" ports behind subs will this be ok

If this is your first enclosure build I highly recommend you do NOT attempt the sort of bandpass enclosure you describe. They are an advanced build and very difficult to make sound right. Stick to a simple sealed enclosure for your first attempt. If you really want the sort of enclosure you describe, you'll need to have it made for you if you want it to work correctly.

Support the12volt.comLike what Dyohn said, I would highly recommend against this. What you described is a bandpass enclosure and from the sound of it I don't think you designed the enclosure specifically for your subs.
Bandpass enclosures are often called "one note wonders" because they are exactly that. They get loud in a very small range of frequencies and that is it. They often will have a very non-musical sound and are not good for many types of music. Some people like the sound that they make but myself as well as most of the people on this forum typically stay clear from this type of enclosure alignment.
Bandpass are very efficient and can sound good in the right circumstances with the right sub and right design (and built exactly to spec). However, if you have not used an enclosure design program like WinISD or similar it is almost a guaranteed disaster. Even with one of those programs you need to be able to make the enclosure exactly to the specs.
All in all, stick to a sealed enclosure or possibly a ported enclosure for your first build. You will more then likely be happier with that then a bandpass anyways.
