When you put in an after market CD player to your car, the anti-thief system that exist in side your factory stereo does not affect your after market CD player. The only thing you might want to do is find and write down your security code before you disconnect the power on your factory stereo unit. If anytime in the future you decide to sell your car and want to put back the original factory stereo, you will be able to since you have the security code. It’s a pain trying to get the security code for an after market stereo.

In order to make your after market CD player work you would need to get a WIRE HARNESS and a DASH KIT. The wire harness is to wire up your after market CD player to the factory wire. The dash kit, on the other hand will blend the after market CD player to the dash and give it look of a factory build system.
