i am about to install a system into my friends volvo, i am not sure what model, but i know that he does not have an after market h/u and i may not know how to take out the stock radio. are there any other locations for the line out coverter other than behind the dash? this is for a mono amp only.

I cant really help with the question at hand, but your friend should get himself a service manual for his car. They tell you how to take the whole car apart.

Or you could pick one up and add it to the cost of the install.

Do you know what year the car is. Early 90s volvo's have the amp under the  drivers dash that is pretty simple to get to.
