Seriously, how did you wire it?  Where is it getting power?  How is it grounded?  What vehicle?  What other gear is in the system? And what do you mean by your "highs cut out" the Kenwood amp?  Is it the main amplifier or the subwoofer amplifier giving you trouble?

Is that the only amp you have on the system?   Have you looked behind the brake pedal to see if there is a wire that is being put into a bind when the brake pedal is pressed?   Does this happen only when the car is in motion and you hit the brakes?
