Hi folks ,
been away from the audio game for decades now !
Been given a new Earthquake PHD5000 amp - red mdl not green and have a few questions on the amp -
1. will it run the 3000 rms as claimed ??? no birth sheet.
2. heard that it will drop to 1\4 ohm ??? not safe i bet.
3. are Earthquake still at the head of the audio game , just as they were 15 yrs ago ??
Thanks in advance for all responses.

I had no idea that EarthQuake was still around. I can find NO info on that amplifier. I would only be able to assume that if they are still around, they are probably Chinese built at this time.

Yes , earthquake is still running strong and still in the USA and more to the point still manufacturing in the USA.
I have been talking to them to gain some more info on this amp and the customer service is still one of the best !!!\
Cant wait to get it all hooked up.

The PHD were part of the Shreader Series aka SPL amp. Output is high and distortion is very high. Think MMATS, quanity not quality. Not the company they were 15 years ago.
