I need some help I just installed a aftermark radio in my  2005 Hyundai Sonata, the radio works but there is no sound. The car does not have a factory amp, I checked all the wiring connections twice and still no sound. what could be the problem do I need to install aftermark speakers aswell? any suggestions would be apreciated.

You did purchase the harness, didn't you?  If so connect the blue wire of the harness to the blue/white wire of your new deck.

Yes I purchased the harness, I will try the suggestion you offered, Thanks. But would happen to know where I could locate the factory amp, I will be installing my amp after awhile and I will need to take that one out or dis connect that one.

When I connected the white and blue wire that worked. Thanks!!!! I connected all three wires so that my antenna will work. Do you think this will be a problem later on?

Also I noticed a whining sound now comes from the speakers? is this coming from the speaker connection? or the ground connection? all I did was connect the two black wires together.

There is a GOOD chance that the noise is coming from your radio.  You may have to live with it, or upgrade to another brand of Deck.    Does the deck not have a blue and a blue/white wire?   If it has only one, it should be fine connecting both wires from the car to the single wire from the deck.  If the deck does have both wires, Blue is power antenna, and blue/white is amp turn on.

But the noise only starts when the car is cranked up, If I just turn the key there is no noise.

You can try grounding the HU separately (not using the factory ground connection) but Dual is a crappy build quality brand and you may not be able to eliminate it.

Ok I will try grounding the HU separatley, I see they have posting on grounding amps but where could I wire the HU too? Can I use one of the bolts behind the radio in the car? or do I have to run wire to some where?

That would be fine, just make sure you scrapeany paint off the bolt.

So yes, try grounding it better, that will help.
