Hi, long time browser, first time poster.

Hope someone can help.

I bought a nice all-in-one radio from a salvage yard. The radio came out of a 93 Mazda 929. It is actually two units, a Panasonic 1264 radio with integrated cassette, and the single disk CD unit 1C02.

I am very pleased with what I got for the $50.00, but after finally sorting out the back light wiring, I have found that a number of the backlights are not lighting up. . .maybe the vehicle was in a crash, or the lights have just started to burn out.

I did a search in the forum and didn't find anything about how to replace or get to the bulbs. Has anyone any help or ideas they can offer?

Thanks in advance!

You will need to remove the front of the unit to get to the light bulbs, then using a volt meter check the voltage across the bulbs. If they are 8 volt lamps you will have to order some. It has been a while but I think MCM electronics should have them. If they are 12 volt lamps, you can get them at RadioShack. I am not familiar (or at least do not remember that deck) sorry I am not going to be any help in the dismantling.
