Are american car steroes compatible with british cars, as they are lot cheaper for the equipment in the us than in great britain, can someone please give me some advice on this thanks

All head units need the same basic things, power and output....If your car uses the DIN standard, it'll be easy to put in. If not, you can probably find an adaptor easy enough...Also, keep in mind that a lot of cars in America are ricers and our head units go in them easy enough (meaning without a dremel)

in non technical terms please, does that mean that they fit, what are the fm range boundaries on american stereos, are they the same as british?

from 88 to 108, if that hel[ps thanks

I think you need a model that has European tuning.

"European tuning - The European tuning interval of .05 kHz is different from the US tuning interval of .2 kHz. If a receiver also has European tuning, it is compatible with the European scale and can be used in many countries overseas."
