Hey everyone, I just wanted to make sure im going to be doing this correctly.

THe amplifier is a Power Acoustik 1600 watt 2 channel amplifier. 2ohm stable..Here are the sepcs

  • SPECIFICATION
    • 2-Channel
    • 310W x 2 RMS @ 4 ohm
    • 370W x 2 RMS @ 2 ohm
    • 740W x 1 MONO RMS Bridged
    • 1600W MAX @ 2 ohm
    • Frequency Response : 20Hz - 20Khz
    • S/N Ratio : >97 db
    • THD : <0.02%
    • Variable Low Pass : 40Hz-250Hz
    • Variable Hi Pass : 40Hz-250Hz
    • Dimensions : 22" x 11.25" x 2.25" WDH
    • Warranty Information : 1 Year Manufacturer Extended Warranty
  • Can anyone please tell me how I would bridge 2 svc 4ohm subwoofers.(Sony Xplods 12"). I pulled up the diagram on this site and it shows up for a 2ohm load, just wanna make sure its the right one.

    In your case i would probably just run each subwoofer to a seperate channel.  I'm not sure if that amps is 2-ohm stable bridged.  The specs you have given make it unclear.  What is the model of the amp?

    Sorry, here are the specs

    POWER ACOUSTIK OV2-1600 (OV21600) 2-Channel 1600W GOTHIC Series AMPLIFIER

    2ohm Stable Stereo

    If you insist on bridging the amp, you will have to wire the woofers in series to achieve an 8 ohm mono load. The amp will put out the same power into a 4 ohm stereo load or an 8 ohm mono load. The diagram at the BOTTOM of This Page shows you how to wire them. Do not use the first diagram.
