I have an L7 I just got off ebay for $50. 12" dual voice coil 4 ohm L7 in a sealed box. I have had this MTX6000XD mono amp sitting around the house I am going to use. Not really looking to spend a ton....I'm old, used to have good systems, got rid of them, and forgot everything I knew. How should I wire this sub to this amp to get the full power?

amp is rated at 1200w peak, 600rms at 2 ohm,  325rms at 4ohm. I have no idea,,,,,help me out here guys.

will this even be a good combination? Or will it sound like crap?

I was thinkking about getting an old MTX1501D amp....I always loved MTX

here you go only option for this setup (parallel) = 2 ohm load
Voice coils wired in parallel
Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 2 or 1 ohm mono
One 4 ohm DVC Speaker = 2 ohm load

BTW... Ron... Fix your sig. I'm certain you mean 4/0 power and ground, as I am also certain that you know there is no such designation as 0/4.

(Like I said...)

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
