Define blew.  Did smoke come out of it?  Did you verify with a volt meter that you were actually getting power to the amp.  That amp will light up with remote and ground.  You could have a blown fuse.  Most other amps will not light up with no power on the power wire,  This amp will light up.

smoke came out slightly. power goes through. power light comes on but no sound output to the sub.

If smoke came out of the amp, the power supply has failed.

If it has an external fuse check that.  If there isn't I would open it up as I am a little inquisitive like that and see if there is an internal fuse.  Hopefully there is and then start my checking with that.  Unless there is something completely obvious that is wrong.  Since there is no warranty there isn't much harm in just looking.  Now if you start touching things well then harm can ensue and if you aren't sure that you know what you might be looking for well then it is probably best to send it off and get fixed or buy a new amp.  If you decide to buy a new amp you can always send the old one to me and I will snoop around until it is either fixed or a large paperweight or whatever other use I can find for it.  I would bet it is fixable at a lower price than buying a new or a used one though.

I had a 500/1 years ago but don't remember if it had an external fuse or not.  Good luck.  Hopefully someone with more experience and knowledge in this area can help you

There is no fuse inside of any JL amp that I have ever seen.

Its a cracked or burned mosfet, if so then it a relatively easy fix, if you open up the amp check the mosfets body and the legs to see if they are burned. If they are covered by heat sinks, just see if you see any brown spots, sometimes look like splatters from the mosfet exploding
