Ive got two questions.

First I have an old Volfenhag 2ch 800watt amp pushing one 600rms sub, wired to 4gauge wire and I keep blowing fuses. The protection still works and no heating issues. Notes are clear and no problems with pulsating beats. But even with the gain set all the way down when I turn up the volume the fuses blow on notes roughly 100hz and lower, so my question is why and can i fix it?

My other question is I want a 1500w RMS amplifier and would like opinions? id really like an amp that has a good LPF and will push the speakers during low notes?

How many speakers are connected to the amp? How are they wired? How many voice coils and what impedance are each of the coils? Series or Parallel?

one speaker 2 coils wired in series. its metered at 2.6 ohm and the amplifier is 2 ohm stable.

2 ohm stable in STEREO mode. 2.6 ohms DC is between 3 and 4 ohms reactive impedance, which means, in bridged mode, your amplifer is potentially loaded to BELOW 2 ohms per channel.

That woofer is not compatible with that amplifer.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
