Hey guys. I'm working on a 2001 Kicker KX600.4. I have fixed everything in the power supply section, as well as the output section with cross referenced replacement parts. Now the amp "works" fine. But the amp also has another problem I cannot find a solution for. The input pre-amp board, which houses the RCA inputs crossover networks, as well as amp adjustments, has a bad gain pot. I cannot seem to find a replacement for the pot. I have also contacted Kicker and they will not sell the pot, or even the entire board. They want me to send it in for repair, but after all this I'd hate to send it in and pay the minimum service charge just so they can take out 3 screws and plug in a new piece that I could easily do in 5 minutes.
Any ideas? The board is P/N 083KX3004 KX4PRE I do not have a P/N for the pot itself. All I know is that it is a 20K, 6pin, and I would assume it's an audio taper.
The problem with the pot is that the right channel will cut in and out as you adjust or touch the pot itself.
I'll try to get some pics.
