I decided to add 2 small tweeters to my doors. I currently have my headunit running to 2 amps thru the pre outs. My 4 channel powers my 4 speakers and the other amp powers my sub. Now that I added 2 small tweeters to my system should I wire them to the 4 channel amp or just wire them directly to the headunit? thanks!

You could run the tweeters from the headunit, but if there is a vast power difference, it could sound unbalanced.

I'd make a crossover, and run the tweeter from the amp. That means parallel loading with a high-pass filter on the tweeter, and a low-pass on the main speaker. Choose a frequency (like 2 kHz or higher), according to the tweeter and the sound stage.

If the tweeters are too loud, then you can run a resistor or potentiometer in line, to bring the volume down. If you headunit has a good EQ, you can also use that.
