Hi, I have a 1500 watt amp, and a sub woofer. I want to only install the sub, and not connect any speakers to the amp. It's my only amp, and want the rest of the speakers to run off the receiver like they do now.
What wire would I bring from the receiver to the amp for this?

Depends on what radio you have.

Does it have a subwoofer RCA output jack?   If so that is the jack that you need to connect to the amplifier.  What is the model number of the radio?  You will also need to connect the Blue/White wire to the remote terminal of the amp.

I don't understand why you wouldn't want to "connect any speakers to the amp"... After all, isn't a subwoofer a speaker?

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I hooked up my amp, and now my pioneer radio won't turn on. Any ideas what caused this?

Check your fuses.

Where did you connect the power wire of your amplifier?  As stated above you probably have a blown fuse somewhere.  Do you have a volt meter?
