ok heres my issue.

i have a pair of alpine sps-171a

1"textile dome tweeter

50watt RMS

90DB sensitivity<<<

and bought a pair of alpine sps-600C

1"silk dome tweeter

80watt RMS??doubt it

88DB  sensitivity.

to replace my front woofers thinking they are worn out but to  my surprise they put the new speakers to shame so i left them there and put the new ones in the back(acura integra)

i did put new tweeters in my front doors tho and old ones in the back since they were all scratched up and dented grilles as you notticed the sensitivity on the 600c is less. but the new tweeters sound ridiculously loud compared ot my old ones. even with the -3db setting in the crossover. and i turn my treble all the way down to make them sound lil quieter. i mean physically they are almost identical in cone shape, magnet size and all

what can i do?

You can't just swap tweeters like that and expect good results.  Crossovers are designed for the specific speakers they are designed for, and changing them may or may not work out well.  There is a lot more to it tham simply sensitivity and size.  You need to use the correct crossover that came with the component set.

how would i find out the specs of that tweeter tho?

the 171a are actual components

and 600c are just separates with capacitor  inline for tweeter.

i couldnt find any replacement tweeters for them so  i went with the closest i could find locally(at the shop i worked) for cheap

you can play around with the direction and angle of the tweeters to maybe take some of the harshness out

I just looked both of those model #'s up and they are both from component sets.
