Ok well i installed my head unit, amp and subs in my car. Hooked back battery and turn the car on. Head unit works fine, But my amp neve turnd on. Everything is hookd up right and has power in the wires. I have checkd all the wires with a volt meter right befor they go into the amp and they all turn the volt meter light on. So they all have power to them.
Is my amp blown?
Or what could the problem be

When you say all of the wires have power on them, does the ground wire also have power on it?

Thats where im stuck lol.
The power and remote turn on glow bright on the volt testr then the ground has a dim light.
I checkd on the termenals of the amp also and they do the same thing power and remote are bright and ground is dim.
got any ideas?

You do not have a good ground. Do not use a seat bolt. You need to remove all of the paint from a small surface of the floorboard, using a self tapping screw and a properly crimped or soldered ring terminal, screw the ring terminal to the paintless area of the floorboard.

Well thanks that was it I changed the ground and it workd but now i got a new problem. I have a pioneer 800 watt 4 ohm dvc sub. When i got the amp hookd up it started playing but when the bass hit it would also have this poping sound. The best way for me to describe it would be instead of the boom boom from a nice bass drop its more of a dududu dududu just poping like that but still kinda have bass(not much). then would kill the sub. turn the car off and on again and it will work again but still make the popping sound.
Ive done 5 or 6 amp and sub installs but ive never ran into this problem. Got any ideas on what this is?

sorry i missed somethings.
While the sub is doing this poping sound it is still playing bass and its not poping on every bass drop when i turn the amp up highr it will get worse. It will play bass and pop alittle while is still hitn bass drops and stop and then it will start the long dududu dududu with the bass drops. Just keeps doing this on and off.

You need to get a volt meter and check the voltage on the power wire of the amp. You need to have the amp loud enough for it to be messing up as you described it. When testing the voltage, you NEED to connect the black meter lead to the Negative terminal of the amp. Hold the red lead to the power terminal. Notice and post the lowest voltage you see.

now would that be the battery then or a bad wire.
The battery was sittin for a bit so it could need charged.

could be either the battery or a bad connection. the only way to test is with a volt meter, a test light just isn't good enough.
