I have a 1997 Chevy Tahoe. I installed my radio (alpine iva d310)  and sometimes it will stay on when I cut my truck off. If I press one of the automatic window buttons It will cut off. Can some give me an Idea as to how I would fix this problem?

hmm, very weird, what do you have the red wire hooked to? this is the wire that turns the radio on and off, and it should be hooked to a wire that turns on and off with the vehicle. did you buy an install harness or did you just hack the factory wire harness?

I went straight to the factory wire harnes. The lat radio I had worked fine. My truck was broken into and they ripped the last radio out. I put in a new radio and this is what I get.

if you can, i would suggest just running a new wire to the heavy gauge orange wire at the ignition switch. if you take off the knee panel under your steering wheel you should see it staring you in the face. it will be coming from the steering column.

Hi i have a 2002 pontiac bonneville and my situation is that i have two wiring harnesses with it gmos05 gmrc04 both should hold onstar RAP chimes and dimming lights now once the aftermarket deck is hooked in I can take my key out open the door and it wont shut off or stop playing music its constantly on where can i find accessory power and where do i bring it into the deck? for a solution we are going to run a direct wire from the windshield wiper fuse in the engine compartment fusebox is this a good solution and can it do damage if we do this?
