New to the the forum but have been browsing for quite awhile.

My question is does anyone have any experience with sq systems in a C5 Corvette? I am interested in putting in an Alpine CDA-9887 HU, in the front doors I am going with Boston Acoustics Pro 50 6.5's with the tweeters chassis mounted to the speakers, thinking of placing some Boston Acoustics Neo Type M tweeters on the A pillars all powered by a BA GT 50 5 channel with a JL stealthbox 10 inch sub. Everything dynamatted with 4 gauge power wire and a stock alternator and a red top battery. BTW the neo's would be wired in parallel with the pro 50's in the front door with a 2.18 ohm load.

as for rear fill I was thinking the pro 50's with the tweeters mounted to the woofer chassis with the gain lowered, or dropping the tweeters and going with a midrange only or some BA s65's with the gain lowered. I could also not do any rear fill. This is a tough decision for me because in my mazda SUV I have six tweeters 4 midgranges and two subs and it sounds nicely balanced mostly due to the Alpine PXA 701 processor most likely . however I do think six tweeters in the corvette would be overkill because of the difference in air space between the two vehicles.

Which way would you guys go for optimum staging and sound quality?

Neo tweeter placement?

Also I would love to run a Boston G5 10 inch sub in place of the stealthbox. Is it worth having a custom made box like the stealthbox made for a G5. The stealthbox I believe is a .88 cu ft box and the G5 requires .5 cu ft. The only question here is if the depth of the G5 would be an issue in making an enclosure that fits exactly the same as the stealth box. I would much prefer the G5 over the JL sub because I have two G5's in my other vehicle with passive radiators and I love the smooth sound. Ideas?

Also would running a GT 50 and all of these components be too hard on my stock alternator even after a big three upgrade? It also has a 7.0 liter 427 in it if that puts a higher load on the alt.

Brand suggestions are appreciated but I would love to stay with just Boston Acoustics and Alpine and JL because that's what I have in my other vehicle and have been extremely impressed with their SQ performance.

Thanks for all the help ahead of time!
