I have recently installed a pioneer nav system power works everything is good with that but i need clearance and depth in the back and the dash seems to be all one piece does anyone have any suggestions on where I should start or what i should do? thanks

Break out the air recipricating saw and start making room. Otherwise you will need to custom fab up a front peice that will allow for the deck to stick out the necessary amount to be able to be mounted in it's current location.

depending on what kind of plastic it is you might be able to just break it with a pair of pliers. but if the plastic is flexible it would be best to use a dremmel or something. if you do decide to start cutting make sure to watch out for wires and other stuff you dont want cut. if my memory is right, your factory radio has a docking plug, meaning that the plug is built into the back wall of the radio housing. but dont be afraid, you can just pop it out along with the antenna plug and everything will still be ok, but like i said, be careful not to damage any wires.

Well thas what we started doing was using anything to try to cut at the plastic back there but its hard cuz both antenna and the rest of the wire string around the plastic

yeah thats were gonna do use either a dremmel or sawsaw the pliers and wire cutters were just a hassle, once we get the deck in its on to the two amps six speakers and subs which should be another situation with this car lol.

just be careful because its a pain to try to repair a hacked up ribbon cable. i would always use my dremmel with a cutting wheel this way i could control how deep into the plastic i cut. i would try not to cut all the way through and then just break it the rest of the way.

nice call i agree ill do that cuz i seriously dont want to mess this car up its already nerve racking to add aftermarket parts too
