Hey guys,
I am starting to lean away from putting subs in the trunk I was thinking about doing something like this...
https://woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=5023
In the front
and
https://woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=5574
in the back
and then amp them all.
Would this give a good sound with enough added bass that I wouldn't have to put subs in the trunk. Obviously I understand that they are not going to be car rattling but I think I am just want some nice clear sound with some bass.
I havent found an amp yet, does anyone have a suggestion for an amp running the above set up?
Thanks
Keith

that dont look like it would be to bad of a setup it wont be loud but should be able to have it sound nice. check this amp out you could run the front off one channel and the back off the other channel. https://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6402 you wouldnt beleve what just 6x9s will do being setup right for bass. i setup some in my sisters car and every one thought she had atlest a 10" sub in the trunk but nope just 6x9s ------------- 87 ramcharger eclipse CD5000 2 15" memphis M3 kenwood 900rms mono amps

that is a nice amp, I have the same amp in my gf's car and it drives her 2 10's pretty good. I figure I will upgrade everything inside the car and then if i still want more I will install another amp and sub. I think I should be happy though.
Thanks :)

yea kenwood seems to make prity good amps for the price. if thos lil subs things are any good you may be suprized at what they can do for being so small. you will need to build a box for them tho to make them work right. i dont know what size of box maybe try a few sizes and see what you get out of them. i myself have never made a box for that small or brand of subs. maybe just try 1/2 cubic foot per sub and see what you get. maybe some one that knows more about that small of subs will chime in ------------- 87 ramcharger eclipse CD5000 2 15" memphis M3 kenwood 900rms mono amps

ya I was looking to see if they needed a box but the site doesn't give any specs for cubic feet i started looking at..
https://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3077
they are a little cheaper, I dont think they will have the same base as the other ones but they are the correct size for the back deck. they also claim to be a mid-woofer. I may order them and see how they do.

also what size amp kit will I need? I am guessing 6 gauge would work but I am not sure I ran 4 with my subs but these aren't subs obviously.
Thanks

i would go with the first set you showed. besides you will end up wanting ether set in a box. i would also go with 4 gauge wire its better to have to big then to small. also you said you mite upgrade to subs in the trunk if you ever do that you will have big anough wire to run the amp or amps you put in and its alot ezyer to install one wire thats to big for your setup now rather then have to pull out all the old wire and install biger. ------------- 87 ramcharger eclipse CD5000 2 15" memphis M3 kenwood 900rms mono amps

good point, I am going to have to see what it is going to take to install a "hanging box" that is going to be interesting.

now you have me thinking. I will have to go look at the back to see what I can do, because if i am not mistaken the back speakers are 6x9 so I will need to modify that to get the speakers to fit and then I will have to figure out how to secure the box from the rear deck.
I wish there was some info on their 6x9 mid-woofers so i could get a better idea that way i wouldn't have to cut anything.

well you could make a nice box to fit on top of the rear deck on ech side. then just screw the box to the rear deck.
