I am looking at buying an 8" sub and I am looking between this
CDT SUBS
or these...
Diamond audio subs
It seams like there is a HUGE jump in price on 8 " subs from under $100 and then jumps up over $300
what are your guys opinion?
Thanks
Keith

Both are going to have the same sound quality then? I noticed that the diamond audio sub is DVC will that provide me any advantage when looking for an amp?
Thanks

It will allow you more options when looking for an amp. It will also allow for easier upgrading of an amp later on. Audibly, there isn't an advantage with DVC subs.

Thanks,
I am building a sub enclosure in my center column so I am limited on room, so 8 inch is the biggest that would fit and it is going to be a tight fit at that, there are too many options with 8" subs though :(
Thanks I will order the diamond subs once i get everything torn about and figure out how i am going to build the box :)

I've had a 12' D3 hooked up to a 400 watt rms mtx amp for quite awhile. Sealed box in the back of a hatch. sounds good. something around there should do

if you go for a single diamond you should get an amp that will give you around 300 watts at 2 ohms.

Thanks guys,
I haven't got my console torn out yet, so i don't know how much room I am going to have but I imagine that I am only going to have room for 1 sub.
Any brands to learn towards? I love my kenwood I have, I saw an MTX mentioned any other suggestions on good amps for the price.

Thanks,
I went to a local audio store and they recommended either of these amps...
Kenwood
or
Orion
Any opinions?

either of those amps would be fine. personally i would want an amp that is 1 ohm stable even though you will be running your sub at 2 ohms, it just gives you an upgrade option if you ever want to add another sub
