Hello everyone, I'm writing today to ask for some help on a question that no one can give a clear answer to. This is my first radio install and post at 12volt so go easy on me if its an easy answer. Here it goes : I purchased a Scosche FD134030B kit from .....com (Dash Kit) w/ a wiring harness, after figuring out I had to run the harness from the trunk to my headunit area I did so and have all my climate controls hooked up and everything. Now the thing I cant figure out is how to get power to my headunit and the climate control lights and defroster etc. I've seen a few diagrams but there are no wires of this color in my cars harness connected to the old radio. Did I miss something am I missing another harness ?

If anyone is familiar with this install please post step-by-step how power is achieved thank you !

You are missing the second harness. It provides power to the HU and HAVAC controls.

There is no such thing as free installation!

Yea I just found the second harness at Amazon.com I guess they really dont send you the "complete kit" I thought I had got something good from a company for once guess not. Well since finding this out, I found a really good diagram from Crutchfield.com - Click here for the Diagaram if anyone has a Taurus project they need this on. I just used the diagram as a reference and cut the factory harness it was pretty easy from there you only have to cut about 5-6 wires. If anyone needs help with their taurus install cutting the factory harness please just ask I'd be glad to help. Only thing I can say is that I bought that Scosche kit and only thing not good is the trim for the HU part doesnt seem to fit very well might need some modding. Thanks for your help !
