1. Right now I'm running 2 jl 12w3's on a 500.1 in my truck (ported box). I want to go louder. Whats my options? also, should I take out stock components?

2. If I should do components, do I have to put them on an amp?

3. In my gs300 I'm running a kicker free air vr10 with an old school punch 60. I want more boom. should I take the w3's out of my truck and put them in there? but what should I put in my truck?

I would like to stay with a jl set up

Thanks

All depends on the budget you have. Its easy to say do a wall of subs to play loud but, that cost money and sacrifices space. More info on your actual goal would help a lot.

I would like to spend the least amount that I possibly could.

With that in mind, I want to spend $800 at the most on the truck and $600 on the car.

Hey everyone. I have a 2003 Ford Expedition with an Eclipse AVN5510 and 2 JL Audio 12W3v3 hooked to a JL 500/1v1.

I'm a real bass heavy person. 500w isn't enough for me :p. But I was wondering if I should bump up to 1 12w7 and a 1000/1 or upgrade my components and run it to a 300/4? I want to stay with an all JL set up. So which should I do first?

thanks

a 12W7 would definitely be a better setup as far as the bass is concerned but if louder is what you want without spending some serious money you might try a different box for those W3s first.

Also, I don't want to start a new topic, does anyone know the specs on the old school punch 60s?

Thanks

was it built for those woofers or did you just buy it off of a shelf?
subs can be pretty picky when it comes to playing loud in a ported box. so if you just have them in a plain ol' pre fab proted box, chances are your subs might not be getting what they really want to sound their best. i mention this first because it is cheaper than changing your whole set up.
