replace/repair amp for 2003 tiburon?

Hey all-

All the search phrases I used came up empty, but if someone knows a thread that has this info please just link it.

I have a 2003 Tiburon GT V6, it has the Infinity H280 head unit with the 6 speakers/sub combo, amplifier located behind drivers side passenger panel.

Common problem in the 2003, the sunroof seals leaked and water got into the amp, it popped and went dead. I haven't gotten into it yet to find out if the amp is dead, or if it's just a fuse. (The head unit works, but no sound anywhere, preceded by some static and popping before nothing.)

I haven't found a model # to replace the amp if necessary, is there a list of compatible amplifiers that will replace the stock unit? I'm not adding any speakers/subs, but I will probably be replacing the head unit in the near future.

If it is a common problem, at least take it apart and look for corroded areas on the board. Look for broken legs on components that are in the corroded area. If you have a digital camera and know how to use it's macro function (it is the function that allows you to take extremely close up pictures) and can post pictures of the corroded areas I can probably help you to get it working again.
