2006 Jeep Liberty, Factory "RBK" radio.

I bought one of these adapters that says it hooks up to the Factory CD Changer plug on the back of the radio. Very easy, no brainer install, so I thought. It does plug rught into the changer port, took no more than 1 minute + time for unbolting the radio, and putting it all back... When I press the mode button on the radio, nothing, it doesn't switch to CD CHANGER mode to run the adapter.

The Jeep did NOT come with the CD Changer, but the port is there on the back of the radio, and the manual says this radio (RBK model) does support a CD changer. Is there anything on the radio I have to switch or activate?

Powerslave:

I have the same issue as you except my vehicle is a 2002 Dodge Caravan with the RBK radio.  The red led on the auxiliary input box does not even light up and the mode button on radio does nothing.  To my knowledge, there is nothing on the radio that needs to be switched.  I get a feeling that some versions of our RBK radio are not compatible.

Hi

Did anyone find the solution to this, I too have just bought a AXXESS AIP-CR01-ID and when plugged into my RBK radio on my 2007 Dodge Caravan it does nothing when Mode is pressed, I contacted AXXESS tech support and they said the radio aux may be blocked by the manufacturer, I have tried a replacement unit but its still the same. I'd appreciate if someone could give me a solution to this.

Thanks

Hi

I did not find a solution to this problem so my adapter is just collecting dust.  Possibly the adaptor will work for the RBB radio (consists of single CD, cassette tape and CD changer controller).
