i have a pioneer f900bt and when i turn the volume up loud, my unit restarts. I am fustrated with my issue. I tried making a new ground and a new constant wire but still the same issue. but when i turn my subs off from my radio, it doesnt cut off. so i tried 2 used another remote turn on, still the same issue. Any suggestions?

The same thing happend to me your alternator is about to go or your subs are drawing to much power and droping your voltage to low in your car for your radio to remain on..

I agree, it is probably a power issue of the amp drawing too much current. what is your amp for the subs, what are the subs and how are they wired to the amp? you can try to rewire your subs for a higher ohm load which should make the amp draw less power from you battery/alternator. if you do this and you still get the problem them you might need to upgrade.

well..there's a easyer way to fix things as well. as it does sound like you amp is the cause of the issue.  it would be nice to know waht setup you have and how the the subs are wired.  one thing i would try is disconnect the remote on wire from the amp and put a jumper wire from the positive wire straight to your remote on terminal on the amp and turn it up.  once you do that start the car and turn the volume and see if it cuts out like befor. if it does, upgrade your big 3 (search it on this site) if it doesn't cut out then you will need to put a relay on your remote wire. you would wire that like this

terminal 86 - remote on from deck

terminal 85 - ground

terminal 30 - connect to remote on terminal on amp

terminal 87 - connect to you 12 volt supply to amp

to be safe i would also put a small (3-5A) fuse inline between your 12 volt connection and the relay.

i tried jumping over the remote wire, no luck. i had the avh-p4000dvd and it was louder and had no issues. i have an mtx1501d and 2 mtx 9500's dual 4 ohm wired to 1 ohm.

your alternator is more than likely about to go out.

Have you actually measured the voltage?
What other gear do you have?
Other electrical issues?

sounds to me like you need (a) a new bigger alternator to keep you charge from your battery  because you re drawing to much power from your system and your charging system cant keep up (b) you can get a new battery like an optima red top or yellow top (c) you can get like a kinetik battery like an hc 1200 and use it as a secondary battery and that should fix your problem

Until he gives us voltage readings I'm not convinced it's his
charging system. He stated his is not having other electrical
issues. Adding additional batteries is not the solution.
