hey i have have a 4 channel amplifier "XS 880 watt" and 4 AGU wire powering my interior speakers and 2 tweeters. When the sound is turned up to a certain level, the amplifier skips for like a millisecond but its a really a quick/FAST skip but noticable it does it intermintently, and the sound comes back. If I play without driving it plays fine no skipping, it only happens when i am driving, i verified my ground and power wire and all rca and speaker connections all cleanly installed helpppppppppp. IS MY AMP BADDDD OR NEEDS REPLACING?helpppppppp

Amps cannot "skip." I suspect what you are hearing is a momentary shutdown in protection mode. Do you have a tweeter connected to the same channel as a main speaker? If so that's your problem: too low impedance.

ohhhhh well hear this i had 2 4 ohms tweeters on channel 3 and 4 all with the mains and did not have the problem, but last week i bought 2 8ohms pioneer ts-s20 and remove the 2 4ohm tweeters and put the 2 8ohms tweeters on channel 3 and 4 one tweeter per channel along with the mains connected. I i read a forum saying my amp gain probably was too high could that have anything to do with it

Yes, you need to set your gain for the total speaker load and for the output level from your HU. You cannot simply add tweeters to an existing speaker system and expect good results.

ohhhh ok then thanks a lot for u help, but cud there be anything else causing this problem? I have a question for u what the EQ volume for i have it half way any louder music get muddy how should i adjust this? does it increase the line voltage to the amp? its a power Acoustic PWM 19 EQ

Sounds like you have level issues throughout your system. Yes, the EQ must be set properly too. If I was you I'd throw that EQ out the window... but if you want to use it I suspect there are level setting instructions with the owner's manual. And check out this thread for how to set your amp gain:
