I have a 2001 Chevy taho with 2 15 kicker cvx dvc 4ohm.
Will a 250 amp alternator 125 at idle (db electrical) be a good replacement for my stock one or should I save my money and get an iraggi amputator 240 amp 145 at idle.

that would depend alot on what kinf of power your amps are going to need to run the subs. if your only going to draw 100 amps of current then the smaller amp will be fine. but if your system will be drawing 200 amps then you'd need the lager of the two.

The output between the two is so close.
Irragi has a good reputation and will give
you a tad more power at idle.

Remember HO alternators use a smaller pulley to spin faster
than stock. In my case the difference was 1/2". That fact
added $400 to the install. Check your belt tension after it's
installed. Belt slip will overheat the bearings and cause
premature failure.

Yes, they might pull 150 amps, however this
varies with volume, types of music. In other
words, the 150 amps isn't constant. What the
Alt can't supply gets sucked from the battery.

Buy the biggest alternator you can afford...There is no overkill for electrical. If I could afford it I'd have dual 250 amp alts for my 1000 watt system. Overhead is good.
