Hello, im running 4 10 inch (2ohm) kicker cvrs. i had a hifonics 1200 class d on it, and i smoked it. i also have a audiocontrol epic 160 .the kicker are 300 rms 600 max. the amp is 1 ohm stable 1200 watts rms i have it hooked up in series/parallel. can someone tell me what could be the problem?? some one told me im straving the amp for power thats why its burning up. also i put my hifonics 05 model 1500 class d, and it junps back and forward to protect mode... do u need two batteries to rum at 1 ohm.

Whoever told you that is wrong. Go to the Hot Topics section of the forum and read "How to set your gain."

also check your wiring and set the gain correctly on the amp and be very conservative with the bass boost @ the amp no more than 75% and with the remote gain knob never more than 75%.
PLEASE do not say things in generalizations like that. We collectively spend HOURS trying to teach people how to set their gains properly. If the LEVEL MATCHING CONTROL (not "gain control") has to be set to 100% and it is still OK, then it is NOT incorrect. You're earning respect here quickly... (PLEASE be sure to get all of the sarcasm I have ladled into that sentence, and I am NOT trying to be funny.)

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
